Heritage Circle Program Overview
Heritage Circle focuses on building community, engagement, and support among younger individuals (especially ages 18–40) with Vietnamese heritage. It is a welcoming community that gathers monthly to reflect, share, and grow. The program serves as a platform for those directly or indirectly impacted by the U.S.- Vietnam War and its legacies to participate in meaningful dialogue, activities, and shared experiences centered on understanding, healing, and reconciliation.

Members meet regularly, and participants have the opportunity to lead sessions, helping build leadership skills while strengthening connection and understanding within the group. Topics and activities are often created collaboratively and may include themes such as:

  • Identity and heritage
  • War legacy and reconciliation
  • Second-generation perspectives
  • Immigrant and refugee experiences
  • International student perspectives
  • Intergenerational differences
  • Diasporic challenges
  • Cultural traditions and shared affinity
  • Generational healing
  • Food and language

Participants may include, but are not limited to, second-generation Vietnamese Americans, Vietnamese immigrants, and Vietnamese international students in the U.S. The program also aims to strengthen connections between Vietnam and its diaspora while deepening ties across diverse Vietnamese identities and life experiences.
