News & Events

We are outraged and deeply saddened by the rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans across the US, including the mass shootings in Atlanta that took the lives of eight people, six of whom were Asian American women. There can be no doubt that members of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities—particularly elders, women, and the working class—are being targeted and harassed. PeaceTrees Vietnam grieves for those affected by these recent acts of violence and stands in solidarity with AAPI communities against all forms of racism, violence, and xenophobia.

We must all educate ourselves, take action, and show up for our  Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) friends and family. We encourage you to visit and support some of the organizations below to learn more:

National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF)

Stop AAPI Hate

Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS)
