About the Ban Ke Kindergarten

Ban Ke Kindergarten can be found just north of Quang Tri Province in the neighboring province of Quang Binh. Located in Lam Hoa commune, the kindergarten helps provide education in an area where the standard of living is quite low. This is due to the mountainous and hard-to-reach characteristics of Lam Hoa. During the flood season, one can only reach Ke Village by crossing the river and there is no bridge.
A high percentage of children who enroll Ban Ke Kindergarten are considered malnourished at entry– the healthy meal program has helped to provide these students with the vital nutrients their growing bodies need to develop 9 months a year.

• Students are between ages 3 and 5, most are from ethnic minority families
• The school has 1 classroom and can accommodate up to 30 students.
